Derek R. Miller, DPM, FACFAS
Dr. Miller is a native of Nebraska and grew up in Clay Center. He then moved to Lincoln where he attended Nebraska Wesleyan University receiving a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. He continued his education in Des Moines, IA where he obtained his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery.
Dr. Miller completed 3 years of surgical residency training at SSM DePaul hospital in St. Louis, Mo. His training included conservative and surgical treatment of conditions affecting the foot and ankle. He gained extensive knowledge on multiple ways to treat foot and ankle conditions, and his focus is on choosing the best treatment for each individual patient. He treats a variety of conditions in both the adult and pediatric population. Such conditions include bunions, hammertoes, neuromas, tendonitis, flatfeet, heel pain/plantar fasciitis, ankle and foot injuries, arthritis, toenail deformities, warts, and athletes foot infections to name a few.
Dr. Miller is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, Nebraska Podiatric Medical Association, and an Associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is on the medical staff at Saint Elizabeth Regional Medical Center and Bryan East and West. He also serves outpatient clinics in Syracuse and Tecumseh, NE.
